EIF – MORE EFFICIENT INNOVATION SUPPORT FOR FOODTECH

Developing synergy between foodtech and life sciences

About the project

The project focuses on developing the synergy between foodtech and life sciences, aiming to create better conditions and strengthen the innovation capacity within the industry. By coordinating and aligning efforts among stakeholders in the food system, the project seeks to make the food sector more competitive and sustainable.

Purpose

The goal is to create a regional hub that can be scaled nationally to promote innovation and commercialization within foodtech and at the intersection of health and food.

This will contribute to two of the goals set by Vinnova within the initiative ‘A New Recipe for the Food System’:

By 2035, the food system should

  • promote a healthy lifestyle for everyone,
  • and everyone should consume newly fermented food daily.

Short description

Krinova and SmiLe, together with innovation actors in southern Sweden, will conduct analyses of the market, stakeholders, and target groups. Based on these analyses, a concept for the innovation hub will be developed and tested in collaboration with foodtech companies
