Join BioTech Bootcamp in partnership with SmiLe and BioM, in moving your idea forward with Europe’s leading life science incubators. Apply for a free hybrid business training program designed to equip aspiring biotech entrepreneurs with the knowledge, skills and industry connections required to transform a breakthrough biotech idea into a successful scalable business.
The program runs over 8 weeks, 6 weeks online and 2 weeks on-site. The first introduction week will be on-site in Sweden and the final demo-week will be on-site in Germany. It is mandatory to participate in both on-site weeks.

We welcome applications from Researchers. PhD students. MSc graduates. Life science professionals. Early-stage entrepreneurs. Company founders. Start-up CEOs. You name it! The program is designed to support start-ups and innovators focusing on Pharma and Drug Discovery ideas. Give it your best shot because only ten teams will be accepted into the program.
Merck will award two winners with a trip to their M Lab™ Collaboration Center in Molsheim, France to meet experts and build networks.
The center is Merck’s first in Europe and ninth worldwide, providing biopharmaceutical manufacturers with an opportunity to collaborate closely with Merck scientists and engineers to solve their toughest challenges and accelerate development of new therapies.

BioM is the central network organization for the biotechnology sector in Munich and Bavaria, commissioned by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs. A non-profit organization, accelerating biomedical innovation since 1997, supporting more than 200 startups and SMEs through customized services, events, networks and training.

Roche in Penzberg (upper Bavaria, Germany) is one of the leading global biotechnology centers. It is a key European hub for life science innovation. For more than five decades, the site has specialized in biopharmaceutical research, development, and production, encompassing diagnostic tests, molecular tumor profiling, gene therapy, and analytical systems. The Penzberg site remains dedicated to exploring innovative solutions in life science.

Who is eligible to apply?
An entrepreneur, a scientist, a professional, a founder or a CEO committed to attend the full 8 weeks of the program, with an innovative business idea in BioTech, Pharma or Drug Discovery. We encourage more than one team member to participate.
Do I need to have a registered company to apply?
No.

You should have received a confirmation e-mail (if not, please check your spam inbox and contact barbara@smileincubator.life if necessary). Once we have reviewed all of the applications you will receive an e-mail with our decision.
Can my application be written in Swedish or German?
The program is all run in English, but applications in Swedish and German are accepted.
Is the whole program online?
No. We will run 6 weeks online and two weeks on-site. The first week will be on-site in Sweden and the final week will be on-site in Germany. Note, travel costs will not be covered by the organizers.
What does the program consist of?
Activities held throughout the day, Tuesday to Thursday. This includes a mix of live and recorded sessions, expert Q&As, personalized 1:1 coaching and skills training. There are also networking events where you get to interact and connect with key people in out community. The program will run 6 weeks online and two weeks on-site. The first week will be on-site in Sweden and the final week will be on-site in Germany. Note, it is mandatory to participate in the on-site weeks. However, the travel costs will not be covered by the organizers.
What makes this program unique?
This program is a unique collaboration between SmiLe Incubator Sweden and BioM Germany, where the two leading biotech Incubators give access to their expertise for free. Including not only expert from our networks but industry players in an online-onsite setting.
We are two or more on the team. Can we all participate?
Yes, you can all participate. To be able to grow as a team we recommend that more than one team member attends the program. However, there needs to be one person per team that is fully committed to the program and responsible for the communication with the organizers.
I can’t attend all of the sessions. Can a team member participate for me?
Yes, with the exception of the pitch training.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes.
